If you are in Chelsea area in New York and just came out of Dharma Yoga, or any other health and wellness place in New York, or you just need some food to recharge yourself, visit BY CHLOE.
This is a 100% plant-based restaurants located at 60 W 22 St, New York in between West 22 Street and 6 Ave. Let me tell you, according to the crowd, this is a
Walking through the doors BY CHLOE
When you first walk in through the doors, the aesthetics of the restaurant are really nice. The interior design of the place is a bit of rustic style mixed with contemporary. In general, the place looks cute, fresh, clean and inviting.
There is a large table on the left that can fit at least 10. So if you don’t mind sharing a space with others, you might consider sitting there. But there are plenty of single tables around the place. Also a swing hanging next to the entrance near the window where you can also sit and have your lunch. I found it to be pretty cool!
The Crowd in BY CHLOE
In general, the space of BY CHLOE is not big and it gets full quickly because of its popularity. However, the staff does great job at taking care of the clients quickly, so you will neither stand in a line for long nor will wait more than 5-7 minutes for the food to be ready.
They also have a person who is quickly taking care of the tables and cleaning them up for next customers. So most possibly while you wait for your order, you will be able to get a table. But to make the process quicker have your friend to snag a table while another is in line ordering the food. Only downside there seems to be a mass confusion about where to stand while waiting for a food, especially if you order take out.
Because there is not too much seating at this place comparing to the amount of customers, take your food to go and eat at Madison Square park, if it’s nice outside.

There is a single bathroom but it was very clean any time I walked in there. So definitely 5 star for that!
The Staff and Food Choices in BY CHLOE
Their staff seems to be very friendly, patient and helpful. They will take your phone number and text you as soon as the food is ready. One thing though, be sure to have a credit card with you. They don’t take cash for whatever reason.
Besides the fact that this a vegan restaurant, they have plenty of gluten free option. So it is quite convenient if you have a gluten intolerance. I was so happy about that as we could go there with my hubby.
By Chloe offers everything from breakfast to lunch, to salads, to burgers, to deserts. They also have daily specials listed on the left side wall above their famous sauces. You will find plenty choices of different Kombucha as well as fresh coconuts, that they will open for you right on the spot. And you can even order craft beer and wines there.
I personally love their Guac burger! Also their chipotle aioli sauce is a game changer! To be honest, first time when I went there, I could not believe it was all vegan! The taste of the food was so good that I had to stop and ask my self if this was really vegan. Everything was fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned.
Another day I had their daily special soup and avocado toast. It was amazing! So far everything I’ve ever ordered there was truly delicious.
I would say that you don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy this place. On the contrary, it’s a great spot to introduce one to a plant based food. That’s what I did with my hubby 😉 And he seemed to love it 🤞
Their most popular dish is the QUINOA TACO salad according to their employees. Yummy 😋
They also have icecream, milkshakes and tons of baked goods to choose from. And if you are up to a desert, go for the gluten free chocolate chip cookie – it’s softer and tastes better than the original old fashioned cookie. My hubby also tried the gluten free chocolate cupcake. It was good but we felt like it was not as moist as should be.
Conclusion
Overall, by Chloe is for sure the go-to vegan spot in NYC for a quick, casual bite. They have ALL 100% plant-based “fast food” that is healthy, fresh, and super tasty. I always stop there after Dharma Yoga Center to grab one of their dishes. In general it is a great place for two, like a couple or friends. And if you are there be sure to try their unique sauces!
I definitely recommend this place for lunch to anyone, whether you are a vegan or not. Despite the large crowd during daytime, BY CHLOE has great choices of vegan food that are surely worth trying out.
